Selous Impala Camp, just next to the river which always holds water. It was hosted by 3 Italien
Managers (Barbara, Lorenzo and Andrea). It’s owned by the Italien owner of Coastal Aviation and a
sister camp of Mdonya in Ruahaa National Park.
We were there in low season, it just opened the day before we arrived (28th June). Its humit and
warm (about 32C during daytime) and in summer (November-January) it may be even much hotter.
We were put on a vehcile just all alone plus the driver/ guide which was very nice actually and kind.
Thus we were able to sit on 2 rows and thus it was much easier to see the animals from a perfect
angle.
Pros for arriving earlier: climate, fewer tourists, green colours, lot’s of birds.
Cons: fewer animals as they can hide in the bush very well.
